The mission of Apache SIS is the creation and maintenance of software providing data structures for developing geospatial applications compliant with the model of OGC/ISO international standards.

All PMC members are release managers. The PMC can also designate committers as release managers, giving them the same release permissions as PMC members for all SIS projects, but not a binding vote.
